The Black Dragon pictograph is very accessible for public viewing. It is located approximately 12 miles west of Green River, Utah right off Interstate 70.
The site is fairly well marked and located just about three miles north of I-70. The arrow below marks the Black Dragon pictograph.


The site is marked by a parking area and split-log fence. You can walk right up to the pictographs which have been remarkably preserved. The arrow above points to the Black Dragon pictograph.

About 38 miles to the east of the Black Dragon site, is another fascinating discovery in Thompson Canyon just four miles north of Interstate 70. What do you think the ancient native artists saw that prompted these drawings?

Strange human-like pictographs are located right next to the Black Dragon.

Notice the interesting shape of the head and the long tail of the Black Dragon pictograph.
Pictographs like these found in Thompson Canyon, 26 miles east of Green River, Utah, leave many intriguing questions about what the native artists were seeing over 1,000 years ago!
