Charles Darwin had no idea that his book would make such an incredible impact upon society.  One of the lessons we have learned is the IDEAS HAVE CONSEQUENCES . . . and Darwin's ideas about the "favored races" would prompt extreme actions by those thinking they were part of the favored race.

One of Darwin's most devout students was a young man from Germany:

Hitler sincerely believed he was preserving the favored race by killing over six million Jews and Gypsy's during World War II.

Such terrible extremes are not only illustrated by the demonic and insane ideas of men like Hitler, but others who have bought into the philosophy of "ethnic cleansing" have also done terrible things:

Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold: Killers of 12 high school students at Columbine High School, April, 1999.  Avid students of evolution.

"Ideas have consequences. The consequences from the philosophy of evolution and the survival of the fittest has left an ugly mark upon society."

Darwin's book was first printed in 1859 and it became the text book for evolutionary philosophers who were convinced that life evolved from nothing over millions and millions of years.

Most people don't realize that the book's title was more than just "The Origin of the Species."  It's full title included the words -- "By Means of Natural Selection, or the PRESERVATION OF FAVORED RACES IN THE STRUGGLE FOR LIFE."

SOMETIMES "IDEAS" HAVE TRAGIC CONSEQUENCES.

Everyone is aware of the terrible killing at Columbine High School in April, 1999.  Most of us have not been informed that Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris were avowed students of Darwin's philosophy of evolution and the "survival of the fittest."
