What We Believe
We
believe in the verbal inspiration and plenary authority
of both the Old and the New Testaments without error.
(II Timothy 3:16; 17)
We believe in the depravity and lost condition of all
men by nature. (Romans 3:19-23; 5:12)
We believe in the personality of Satan. (Job 1:6; 7)
We believe in the eternal conscious punishment of all
unsaved men. (Matthew 5:46)
We
believe in the Triune God; Father (Genesis 1:1), Son
(John 10:30), and Holy Spirit (John 4:24).
We believe in the virgin birth and deity of Jesus
Christ. (Like
1:35).
We believe in the shed blood of Jesus Christ as the only
atonement for sins. (Romans 3:25).
We believe that men are justified on the single ground
of faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. (Acts 13:38;
39)
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts
of sin and regenerates, indwells, enlightens, and guides
the believer. (John 16:8, I Corinthians 3:16)
We believe that those who receive Jesus Christ as Savior
may have full assurance of their salvation. (John 10:28,
29).
We believe in the bodily resurrection and Lordship of
Jesus. (Acts 2:32-36; I Timothy 2:5)
We believe in the personal, pre-tribulation return of
our Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:11, I Thessalonians 4:16;
17)
We believe all believers are called into a life of
separation from all worldly and sinful practices. (James
4:4, Romans 12:12; 13)
We believe all believers in this dispensation are
members of the body of Christ, the Church. (I
Corinthians 12:12; 13)
We believe in the obligation of the believer to witness
by deed and word to those truths and to proclaim the
gospel to all the world. (Acts 1:8)
We believe that God is sovereign in the bestowment of
all His gifts; and that the gifts of evangelists,
pastors, and teachers are sufficient for the perfecting
of the saints today; and that speaking in tongues and
the working of sign miracles gradually ceased as the New
Testament Scriptures were completed and their authority
became established. (I Corinthians 12:4-11, II
Corinthians 12:12, Ephesians 4:7-12)
We believe that God does hear and answer the prayer of
faith in accord with His will for the sick and
afflicted. (John 15:7, I John 5:14; 15)
